WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
This is spicy basil scent that highlights my favourite parts of the pho herb plate experience! It focuss on the Basil, Mint, Beansprouts and Pho Spices. It's a classic green scent with a spicy watery background with a touch of classic animalics. I used Galangal to tone down the animalic notes and I really love the aura of fresh coziness it gives.
I had a hard time naming this because I didn't know how I felt with the term FOUGERE. My other names was Pho Basil or Fougere Basil but this is my first fougere inspired composition and wanted a good name. I also do love my puns/dad-jokes...
If you didn't know, it is one of the main fragrance/olfactive category which uses the french word for FERN. It is characterized by the imaginary notes of fern's green notes. I respect the traditional and classical perfumes that came before me but I didn't want to take away from the celebration of Vietnamese-American culture that I want to highlight. I asked my friends and colleagues from Vietnam and we decided PHỞ-GERE is the name to stuck with us.
