Zero Straight 1 is inspired by the Hwarang, a youth group from Korea’s ancient Silla dynasty (57 BCE–935 CE). They were known for their beauty, kindness, and training in art, poetry, and spiritual practice. They showed strength through peace and valued friendship, expression, and harmony.

The scent begins with Korean camellia and warm aloeswood incense, mixed with a fresh breeze like morning mist. In the heart, Pink and Blue lotus unfurl in the heart, luminous like morning mist on a quiet sea.

The base is earthy and grounding, with Korean clay, ginseng, hinoki, and pine, ending with the cool glow of steel and grey amber.

Z Straight 1 is for those who lead with heart, who honor their truth, and who carry tradition with a new kind of pride.

🔥 Fire (화, Hwa)
동백꽃 Camellia & 침향 Aloeswood Incense
→ Dongbaek (동백꽃) blooms in winter, a symbol of silent strength and feminine power. Chimhyang (침향), sacred aloeswood, burns in Korean temples smoky, deep, spiritual heat.

💧 Water (수, Su)
연꽃 Pink & Blue Lotus & 해풍 Sea Breeze
→ The pink lotus (분홍 연꽃) radiates queer grace and emotional softness. The blue lotus (푸른 연꽃), rarer and dreamier, represents wisdom, detachment, and awakening. Together with haepung (해풍)  Korea’s east coast sea breeze. They form a fluid, luminous heart.

🌍 Earth (토, To)
황토 Clay & 인삼 Ginseng
→ Hwangto (황토), the sacred yellow clay of Korea, holds warmth, memory, and life. Insam (인삼) Korean ginseng is the root of energy, balance, and inner power.

🌳 Wood (목, Mok)
편백 Hinoki Cypress & 소나무 Korean Red Pine
→ Pyeonbaek (편백) exudes clean stillness, often used in healing spas and temples. Sonamu (소나무), Korea’s iconic pine, represents loyalty and resilience  the forest spirit of the Hwarang.

Steel Armor & Grey Amber
→ Steel Armor is the poetic armor of the Flowering Knights. Elegant yet unbreakable. Grey Amber, a local term for soft incense or glowing skin scent, evokes body heat and queer resilience.
