Not every summer is remembered. Some survive as fragments—a melting melon popsicle, sunscreen on warm skin, the wooden stick forgotten in your pocket after the last bite.

Across Korea, melon bars have been part of summer for generations. Picked up from neighborhood convenience stores after school or on the way home from the beach, they became a small ritual against the afternoon heat.

Melon Pop begins with the cool creaminess of melon ice cream and fresh honeydew, lifted by crisp yuja leaves and green tea. As it warms, traces of sunscreen, sunlit skin, and white mugunghwa drift through the sweetness, while a touch of salt and the dry grain of a wooden popsicle stick linger beneath soft musks.

Cold at first bite. Warm by the end. Like every good summer, it disappears before you're ready.
