CHANH - PRIDE 2026
We like to celebrate with a free gift this year. we were busy with travel late, but I still wanted to make something to celebrate 2026.
just was inspired by some of the notes from our first private descent, which was called rain on me which we made for our first donation project.
rain on me was a favorite or some of our customers so we wanted to create A version that represents us now in 2026, so so life has been feeling crazy and it does feel a little weird to think about the future especially as people, but I wanted to create something happy so we have to go onto. I remember a song that I used to listen to as a kid called rainbow hamasaki, and the lyrics mention something like no rain no rainbow so that was my inspiration for this. It starts with a Petrichor from the initial rain on me, so it has the metal and has some aldehydes but instead of the bubble gum note i wanted to push it towards some lemon fruit candies to highlight what i learned recently.
in Vietnamese i always liked the “em” pronoun because its more genderless and used when referring to someone younger and also has a feeling of endearment and care. “Chi” is used for referring to females who are older and “anh” is used for older male. Both are used for older sibling and they also show some signs of respect.
i saw somebhave combinef the two chi and anh into chanh which i love. Chanh also means citrus lemon so i wanted to highlight that in this years 2026 pride scent.
notes: geosmin, metal, aldehydes, lemon, candy, apple, berry, green sap, taiwan cypress, cashmeran, vietnamese spices, candy
