ORANGE CAT EXPRESS [Catnip, Citrus & Cedar]

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Orange Cat Express is a sweet earthy scent with a citrus herbal opening inspired by the chaotic energy or orange cats . 

When I started created Orange Cat Express, I knew the opening has to have cat mint, catnip and orange citruses.  The woody medicinal qualities of the cat mint next to the orange automatically drew my mind to the nights in Tokyo where we would gulp down vitality drinks to prepare for a night of partying.  This taste combined with the colorful lights of the city is exactly the happy and chaotic energy I associate with orange cats. 

These drinks are the equivalent of the caffeinated energy drinks common in US and SEA which is usually with the addition of bubble gum or tropical fruit notes .  I combined these notes with the citrus and added a touch of ginger root and catechu to create the nostalgic medicinal quality in asian vitality drinks. 

For the rest of the composition I took inspiration from my favorite orange cat, specifically this scenes of the catbus: 

It is after the rain in and the girls are gifted a bundle of camphor seeds. I remember associating the bundles with the banana leaves wrapped foods we share in Vietnam.  It brings back warm memories of comfort which I wanted to include.

Traces of Geosmin and Oakmoss is added to Cedarwood to create the forest environment after the rain.  Sweet white musks and a touch of indole creates the cozy warmth of having a fuzzy friend.

So what does it smell like? When you first spray it, it smells fresh like catnip and citrus (Blood Orange,Kumquat, Mandarin Orange) drink contrasted with earthy leaves and  damp forest.  After the opening settles the sweet candy qualities continues into a warm woody scent with fluffy cozy musks.
